Years Running: Since I left crawling behindYears with Runner's Corner: More than you! (Unless "you" are Hawk, in which case it's pretty close!) Running Accomplishments: Pre-HS: 3:08 Marathon at age 10, 2:57 Marathon at age 11 (National Best), 2:45 Marathon at age 12 (World Best). High School: - Utah Cross Country State Champion in 1998 and 1999 -3rd at Footlocker Western States Championships -10th at Footlocker National Championships with a time that broke the old national record - too bad 9 other guys did as well that day! (Dathan Ritzenhein, Alan Webb, Ian Dobson, Josh Rohatinski, etc.) -Great Southwest 2 mile champion (9:09) just a few weeks after being trampled and receiving several punctures and stitched up lacerations Collegiate: -9th at the Mountain West Conference Championships as a Freshman at BYU -Set the 8k and 10k school records at BYU Hawaii -2007 PacWest Conference Cross Country Champion Personal Profile: Golden's expertise lies in handling running injuries, complicated shoe situations and trail running. He attended Orem High School. He has two fast parents and 4 fast little sisters and couldn't ask for better. They're all wonderful. His interests include playing the guitar and writing songs, photography, backpacking, showshoeing, trail running, surfing, going to concerts and recording them, cooking, camping, and going to as many mountain tops and beautiful, breathtaking places as possible. Relationship Status: Not taken---Free as a bird! His favorite book is The Other Side of Heaven. His favorite magazine is Trail Runner. He's currently doing some trail/mountain racing and running cross country for BYU-Hawaii.
